Complete, Established and Immutable.

“So how will this work? I’d be lying if I said that I have all the answers. But I do know a few things…I know that the broken, fearful, whatever the f*** place inside the abuser is really no match for the Light in my eyes. I have to learn to stop gasping with disbelief and horror at every headline and happening that is worse than the horrors from the day before. I have to learn to “budget” my emotions and heartache because if I don’t, I may never catch my breath again.

Love, with it’s sovereign, immutable Authority, changed the ebb and flow of some eternal ripples that I was once convinced could never be changed. Love didn’t need to be rationed and divided and parceled out to us last night. Love just welled and swelled and overflowed and splashed all of us who were willing to wade in it’s currents and it washed away old scabs and scars and it healed and restored and made better and more beautiful that which we had abandoned in fear and frustration many years ago. Love left us with Hope…

I remember my first “slave day” at school…It was a yearly tradition to have “Slave Day.” It may have been during homecoming week, I don’t remember, but it was a “fun filled” time when upper-classmen got to “bid” on freshmen and the “bought” freshman was a “slave” for the day.

I did hear her laughing, though. She laughed like sunshine and moons and stars and wild flowers had finally filled her up!

I believe that “Joanne the Scammers” are not as far fetched or improbable as one may think. They are everywhere. Raising children, teaching in classrooms, holding pulpits and congregations hostage (I said it), entering into marriages, saying “I love you,” being voted into offices of power, treating patients, and on and on and on.
